Their characters, as well as their roles, have not yet been cast.
• Jesse, Dina’s ex-boyfriend; • Owen, Abby’s ex-boyfriend; • Lev and Yara, Abby’s siblings who have been demonized by the Seraphite cult and work together What will take place?
We can speculate on a few possible outcomes if we assume that the second season will feature some of the occurrences from the second game, The Last of Us Part II.
You should only continue reading if you want major spoilers for the game and possibly the series.
The second game begins five years after The Last of Us, with Joel and Ellie, now 19, living in Jackson, Wyoming, after a brief prelude.
Abby, a woman, is saved from an infected horde by Joel and his brother Tommy while they are on routine patrol. They go to a station building utilized as a hideaway by her gathering — previous Fireflies who are currently a local army bunch called the WLF (Washington Freedom Front) — and the gathering assault the siblings.
Ellie and her girlfriend Dina go in search of Tommy and Joel after a series of events that we won’t reveal here. When Ellie arrives, she discovers that Abby has killed Joel.
The narrative then sends Tommy, Ellie, and Dina to Seattle to find Abby. They immediately cross paths with the Seraphites, a religious sect fighting the WLF for city control.
Of course, a lot more happens, but the main point is that Joel doesn’t get very far into the story. Take a deep breath. This indicates that Pedro Pascal may also not make it very far. Take another deep breath.
The show’s second season may primarily focus on Ellie, Dina, Abby, and possibly Tommy, with Joel only appearing in flashbacks or early episodes before his death.
However, we hope not! We are definitely not ready to say goodbye to Ellie’s father-daughter kinship with Joel, and we are nowhere near ready to say goodbye to Joel. especially considering that it is about to undergo the most extraordinary test yet—or so we suppose.
Joel’s shameful lie about Marlene’s fate and the cure will definitely not remain a secret forever. And keeping in mind that Joel just carried on of affection, it’s likely that Ellie will see it as a profound selling out.
The lives lost to the Contaminated over the five-year time hop will probably imbue that feeling of disloyalty with much more agony, making strain between the two.
When the show’s alternate ending was revealed, the creators even hinted at the beginnings of a change in their relationship.
“[Episode director Ali Abbasi] considered playing this slightly longer, sadder version in which Ellie turns and walks away after saying “okay.” And Joel takes care of her,” Mazin told GQ in an interview.
“The two of them are seen walking. Down toward Jackson, not really together but apart. It lasts, then it goes away. It had a beautiful quality to it.
Mazin said in his conclusion, ” Eventually, there’s something unmistakable about finishing on that nearby of Ellie. unsure of what comes next. unsure of what she does. How does she feel? Does she walk with him or does she walk away from him? That moment is put on hold for good.
It will be fascinating to perceive how their relationship has changed and extended throughout the long term, and what the reality of Joel’s activities that day will mean for things.
Doubtlessly that merits an entire second season, correct? Group More-Joel!
Ellie and Dina’s love story will be explored in season two, according to Bella Ramsey, and this will have an effect on Ellie’s relationship with Joel.
“I’ve watched a cut together, and it was amazing, like an amazing edit of just the gameplay, like Ellie and Dina’s love story. I don’t know how they do it. When she appeared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, she stated, “So I’m excited to play that out.”
Bella went on to say, I’m invigorated by] the intricacy of her relationship with Joel and how that gets quite more intricate, and that’s what i’m anticipating. In a way, the subsequent violence is thrilling. It will be cool to possibly explore that in a very secure setting. However, I’m also anxious about it.”
The creators have also hinted at a new Ellie for the second season, which fans can anticipate.
“We understand what we will do with regards to her ensemble and cosmetics and hair,” Mazin told Assortment.
“However, the most important thing is that we know the actor’s spirit and soul. She is currently 19 years old, the same age as Ellie in The Last of Us Part II; however, things will be different. Similar to how this season was different, it will be different.
“Sometimes it will be drastically different; it will not be identical to the game.” It will be the show that Neil and I need to make.”
Ah, games that don’t follow them! This gives us more expect life span in Joel’s curve.
