The principal time of The Remainder of Us is presently finished, with the finale broadcasting on Walk 12, 2023 in the US and Walk 13, 2023 in the UK.
Even though the second season has been confirmed, actress Bella Ramsey has acknowledged that we won’t see any episodes of the second season for quite some time.
On The Jonathan Ross Show, she stated, “I think we’ll probably shoot at the end of this year, beginning of next.” So it’ll presumably mean the demise of 2024, mid 2025.”
According to executive producer Craig Mazin (via The Washington Post), filming the first season in Canada took approximately 200 days. After that, additional months were spent editing the series and adding those extremely creepy fungi special effects. Altogether, it required year and a half from the date when the main scene was shot to the send off of season one on January 15, 2023.
We can all agree that the wait until 2025 is worth it if we have to choose between a mediocre fast cut and the exceptional quality of the first season.
